  • My child attended a school that "taught for better test results"...the kids got better test results...but retention of the information was poor.Also... Creativity cannot be measured on tests. Our schools are cutting the arts...a sad state of affairs.

  • William J Brock-Money is secondary when it is not a lot of money. Just think of how those hundreds of thousand could have otherwise been used..... The parents were selfish to create a situation where anyone else was responsible for saving their daughter....monetarily and in terms of action.

  • Money is of secondary import when it is not a lot of money. But it is naive to think money shouldn't be considered when parents are making irresponsible choices to fulfill their and their child's whims. This was a whim that could cost others in the millions of dollars.

  • Its called HUBRIS. These parents really need to take a hard look at themselves. Denial and pride go a long way....and could possibly lead someone to a tragic end. In Greek Mythology many children paid the price for parental pride.
